A Life of Craft, Made Together

30 years ago, two teenagers from vastly different worlds met on an Outward Bound course in Maine and became best friends. Their first conversation was about fantasy, dragons, and imagination.

Since then, we’ve shared a hands-on creative life—shaping wood, turning clay, restoring antiques, crafting steampunk pieces, and finding beauty in forgotten things. Curiosity, resourcefulness, and joy have always been at the center of what we make.

That journey has led us down many paths. Pottery has become a grounding passion for Anne, while Albert brings imagination to steampunk creations and jewelry. Together, we explore woodworking, design, and handcrafts that grow from a love of materials and the stories they carry.

Every piece reflects years of making, learning, and collaborating side by side. Pottery may sit at the heart of this space, but Alania Crafts is about more than clay. It’s about a creative life built together, where clay, wood, metal, and imagination all find their place.
